Cabo Pulmo Humpback Whale Watching
Visit in the right season, and you can see some of the hundreds of humpback whales that migrate to Cabo every year. The water is warm and calm–perfect for the mothers to teach their calves some standard humpback whale behavior. Male whales use this time to attract females, filling the ocean with their whale songs. Other possible animal sightings include dolphins, sea lions, and other whales.
From $80 USD
Striped Marlin Expedition
Step into the lesser-explored Bahia Magdalena, where makos, sailfish, blue sharks, dolphins, whales, sea lions, and sea birds gather to hunt. In the fall, the striped marlins migrate to the area to join in on the hunt when the giant sardine bait balls congregate offshore. These fast and agile fish put on a show, working together to manipulate their prey and launching through the densely packed sardine for a meal.
From $250 USD (includes land transportation)
Gentle Giants
Take refuge in the Mexican winter and see the migration of thousands of whales to the Baja California Peninsula. Every year these creatures make the trip to give birth, find new mates, and take refuge from the cold northern waters. This is one of many migration events in the area during which you’ll get the chance to see humpback whales, gray whales, or blue whales, depending on the season.
